
SEB Lighting Engineering promotes the lighting engineering industry
Science and Engineering Board for Lighting Engineering (SEB Lighting Engineering) unites all those interested in the development of national lighting engineering science and implementation of its breakthrough achievements both in Russia and abroad. The Board comprises government and public leaders, industry experts representing a number of industry-related higher education institutions, as well as representatives of the business community.
Regular sessions of the Board serve to articulate actual demands of the market in lighting engineering products and services, realize joint projects of Russian and international organizations, and coordinate efforts of lighting engineering companies and their partners from other sectors. The Board comprises none sections each dedicated to a specific area of lighting engineering technology application. Inter-organizational integration of activities makes the dialog of business structures and the government more productive.
It was the Corporation who initiated the establishment of the Board in 2016. President of ILEC BL GROUPG. V. Boos was unanimously elected as the Chairman of the Board.

Why are we doing this?
SEB Lighting Engineering defines priority areas of scientific, research and development activities; it promotes the production of science intensive products and improves its potential. Taking part in panel discussion gives us awareness of the aspects that make our equipment sought after in the eyes of industry sectors.
We support the Svetotekhnika Magazine – a champion of the domestic scientific research and publishing
The science and engineering Svetotekhnika magazine summarizes all the important results of fundamental and applied research in the area of light science within a framework of ray and photometric concepts. The Magazine is listed in all the global scientific reference data bases – Copus, Web of Science and RSCI, as well as in the index of peer-reviewed scientific publications of the State Commission for Academic Degrees and Titles. These resources publish major scientific results of thesis research papers for the academic titles of Doctor of Science and Candidate of Science. Since 1932, the Magazine is the trumpet for breakthrough ideas in lighting engineering. Starting 1993, an English version of the Magazine, Light & Engineering, popularizes Russian inventions internationally.
Taking into consideration today's tendencies of convergence of science and technology, the Magazine's inter-disciplinary nature is very important making the Magazine useful for a broader audience. The open-minded editorial policy of the Magazine ensures freedom of discussion and free expression of opinions of experts in various fields.

Why are we doing this?
We understand that the Svetotekhnika Magazine has a massive potential in the sphere of integration of achievements of the lighting engineering science with other fields of knowledge, and we are interested in promotion of our inventions through the international professional community. For us, it is important to demonstrate viability of our solution at the level of a scientific publication.
We support lighting engineering education and the Lighting Engineering Department of IU MEI
We support continuity of lighting engineer generations, we think about tomorrow. Even today, in cooperation with VNISI Russian S. I. Vavilov and the Lighting Engineering Department of IU MEI, we train scientific cadre and specialists of various specializations for the industry and for our Corporation.
Our esteem of the Lighting Engineering Department of IU MEI is evidenced by the fact that it is headed by President of ILEC BL GROUPG. V. Boos. G. Boos Our specialists integrate into student academic activities dynamically: they take part in lectures, hold workshops and master classes, organize the annual scientific and applied conference ‘Young Lighting Engineers of Russia’. Apart from the above, we offer students the possibility to undertake an apprenticeship at enterprises of the Corporation where they are able to consolidate their knowledge using modern advanced equipment.
Those of the students that show promise during apprenticeship, those most focused and talented, are invited to work with us.

Why are we doing this?
We are aware that in Russia there are few higher education institutions that offer lighting engineering training. That is why we strive to expedite the transition from learning to working to students, we enhance material and engineering resources of educational curriculum through our scientific research and manufacturing training courses. In this way, we prepare personnel for our Corporation, and shape the future of both ILEC BL GROUPand the national lighting engineering industry as a whole.
The Corporation’s, Kadoshkino Electrical Engineering Plant (KETZ) is an industrial partner of VNISI named after S.I. Vavilov and Moscow Timiryazev Agricultural Academy of Russian State Agrarian University
As part of the BL GROUP group, KETZ Plant, the originator of greenhouse lighting products in Russia, continues to develop this sector on a higher level of technology. In cooperation with research institutions, the Plant’s team conducts research and development of greenhouse lighting products incorporating new type of LEDs. The objective is to apply LEDs in the agricultural complex and future launch of production of new greenhouse lighting products.
We view photoculture as an important social objective, since technologies of greenhouse cultivation of various crops with the use of phyto-lighting products provide residents of all the regions of our country with fresh vegetables, fruits and herbs. Development of photoculture is a means to support of domestic agricultural producers who are enabled by improved yield to offer increasingly competitive prices for fruit and vegetable products as compared to imported goods.

Why are we doing this?
Greenhouse cultivation of crops is one of the most dynamical trends of contemporary Russian agro-industrial complex, which means that high-quality greenhouse illumination solutions will become increasingly sought after. To become the leader of the phytopyramid and vertical farm market, we are already developing new phyto-lighting products.
We develop software products in all the areas of our activity, based on scientific knowledge
We reduce labor costs of our associates, optimize all their activities related to processing of information, developing design algorithms and real-time process management. We develop user software products including those intended for the development and management of lighting systems. Certain our products are publicly available.
The essential feature of our software products is their focus on ease of use. Mobile applications developed on the Light-in-Night program facilitate cooperation of trade agents and customers by way of simplifying equipment selection at the initial stage of a project. Online calculators servicing various areas of application of lighting are accessible directly from the GALAD brand website without the need of installation.

Why are we doing this?
Today, information technologies span all areas of design, thus the lighting technology sphere must not be left behind. Products developed by us help a user who doesn’t have any special lighting engineering knowledge to determine a facility’s illumination demands, they clearly demonstrate the capacities of our products and reduce labor costs of our partners.
Our products are comprehensively tested in certified laboratories
We are interested in measuring and testing lighting engineering and operational properties of lighting products developed by us. All the finished products are tested directly at manufacturing enterprises, all of them have specialized laboratories. Further, we test in VNISI’s Test Center all of our novel products launched into commercial production. This specialized laboratory was successfully accredited by international bodies. Such comprehensive testing ensures long-term reliability of products and their high consumer properties.

Firstly, quality of our products is our reputation. Secondly, reports of a certified laboratory are a substantial competitive advantage when applying for tenders.
